Verified Purchase. I've been using Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit for many years and never complained about it, it was near perfect.
It came installed in my HP Pavilion elite and was working like a charm. Troubles began since I ordered and installed this supposedly higher version of Windows. The install was the messiest install I've ever experienced. Instead of a 'clean install' as I hoped, it left bits and pieces here and there of the old version and rebooting with both options Vista and 7.
Thinking I had done something wrong, I re-installed it again, and things got worse, this time rebooting with option Vista, Windows 7 and a second Windows 7. My biggest joy in this whole affair was re-installing Windows vista to factory default and sending that expensive monster back. As for speed and performance, I noticed absolutely no difference between the two versions.
